FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions from teams using AI Cost Board.

How does AI Cost Board work?

AI Cost Board uses a proxy-based setup. Your app sends requests through AI Cost Board endpoints, we forward them to your provider, and track costs, tokens, latency, and errors in real time.

Do I need to change my full codebase?

No. In most cases you only change your API base URL and use your AI Cost Board project key. Your provider request structure stays the same.

Which providers are supported?

Core support includes OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini, with additional provider integrations available on the providers page.

Can I set spending limits and alerts?

Yes. You can create budgets by workspace, project, provider, or provider connection and configure threshold alerts (for example 50%, 80%, 100%).

Can my team use separate projects and API keys?

Yes. AI Cost Board supports workspaces and projects so teams can isolate environments, ownership, and API keys while still keeping centralized reporting.

Is my data secure?

Provider keys are handled through secure project-level configuration, and traffic is designed to run over HTTPS with controlled access boundaries.

What if no data appears in my dashboard?

Usually this means requests are not going through AI Cost Board endpoints or the wrong key is used. Verify your base URL, Authorization header, and provider connection status.

Can I use AI Cost Board in production?

Yes. The product is built for production workflows with request observability, budget controls, and multi-project organization.
